What people are saying. . .
Thank you AlannaMaxBooks for this colourful & lively picturebook about Zeki and his friend, Yu. I so enjoyed seeing spreads that had flats in them alongside open and modern parks. So much care and cost has gone into production that the colours zing off the pages. I'm absolutely thrilled that Zeki Goes to the PARK was chosen as one of three Power of Reading titles for 2023-24.
It says SO much about the book that CLPE consider it worthy of the indepth study that will be understanken by teachers during their course. Read more here. Each year our teaching team selects new high-quality texts to add to our #PowerofReading books... |
This welcome addition to the Leo Can! board book series features a familiar Black child and his mother. Leo and Mommy go to the park, where they find his friend Yu with her mother and her baby brother. In this new adventure for Zeki, it’s a happy day in the park with Mummy that is the focus, reflecting the relatable and simple pleasures of everyday life for toddlers. The story is a simple and enjoyable one, perfect for reading and enjoying with 1–2-year-olds, with clear, colourful illustrations and friendly, simple language. |
... the onomatopea and assonance continue as the children "splash, splash, slpash! The water is wonderfully cool."
