Lulu's NANA Comes to Visit

Lulu is EXCITED! Her grandmother is coming to visit..

Nana-Bibi will stay in Lulu's room, so Lulu will sleep on a special blow-up bed.

The family spends the week doing different activities like shopping for presents for family back in Tanzania, having dance parties, and learning how to make Nana's special mandazi doughnuts.

Nana-Bibi and Lulu share a special time as Nana-Bibi remembers all the things she used to do with her nana.

A multigenerational celebration of grandmas, mums, and grandaughters.

clever, layered images...
I love the use of meaningful kanga bunting too. Celebrating maternal bonds; sharing of cultural traditions. Truly stunning! Out Aug!

Once again, McQuinn writes a beautiful story that any family can enjoy. Alongside Beardshaw’s warm illustrations, this edition celebrates multigenerational relationships and portrays the love between a grandmother, mother, and granddaughter. McQuinn also promotes diverse family structures by depicting how some families live far apart but maintain special bonds. This book is perfect for younger readers. – Children's Literature
